Welcome to Meatstock 2026!

While we’ve hosted a few Meatstock events in the past, this year marks the first of its kind—something truly special to me that’s been a long time coming. In fact, you could say it’s been decades in the making.

It all began with my health journey or should I say health disaster. I’ve lived with chronic illness for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I spent countless days in bed, in doctor’s offices, with alternative practitioners, and in every kind of therapy or treatment imaginable. I’ve seen every kind of doctor you can imagine. Can you guess what the result was?

I was always one pill, supplement, or treatment away from the cure. The cost – all my money and WORSE health. Ya, you heard me right – WORSE health.

So, where did I go from there? Like many of you, I buried myself in research—reading dozens of books and consuming hundreds (maybe even thousands) of podcasts, Audibles, and YouTube videos.

But the truth? Nothing ever really worked.
Not until I started attending health conventions.

I probably sound a little full of it, eh? Let me explain.

From the moment I attended my first health conference, I became hooked. For nearly two years, I attended almost every health-focused event I could find. I would see all the regulars at each event until, over time, I became a regular myself. Many of the vendors knew me by name, and some of them could tell you my kids names.

This begged the question: what was it that was really drawing me in? Did I learn how to heal myself? Not really. Was it the inspiring talks from experts and influencers? The amazing vendors and their innovative (sometimes outright strange) products? Sure, those were great—but they weren’t getting to the core.

My true medicine was community. It was the people, but more so, being around MY people.

Spending time with like-minded people was the first thing that ever consistently made me feel better. No pills, no treatments—just people who understood, supported, and shared the same passions and purpose. I always looked forward to seeing all my friends in the health space, meeting new ones, and having meaningful conversations.

If someone asks me for health advice, the number one thing I’ll write on the prescription pad is this: surround yourself with community. With people who get you. Who care. Who cheer you on. There’s nothing more powerful.

And that’s what Meatstock is all about for me.

When I was still in my single digits, I wanted to be a hockey player. As a teen, I wanted to be in a rock band. Here I am in my mid-forties, living the adult life with two little ones, and a big part of my work has turned into running Meatstock and our meat retreats. It’s a strange alternate universe that I never could have predicted, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I hope you enjoy every moment of Meatstock 2026. I hope you walk away from the experience with a greater sense of connection, to the stories, to yourself, and all the amazing people that you meet along the way. Most of all, I hope you get whatever you came for, even if it wasn’t how (or sometimes what) you expected in the end.

Yours in gratitude,

Scott
